A Divine Journey profiles a young changemaker, Divine Mugisha, striving to overcome the hardships of living in extreme poverty. The story follows her heroic journey as she sets out to study psychology to treat depression and prevent suicides in disadvantaged and refugee communities.
Divine grew up in extreme poverty, facing hunger and mental health challenges. Despite her struggles, she dedicates her life to creating change and advocating for human rights. As a young advocate, she started Supportive Pillar Organization, a CBO dedicated to helping youth stay in school. On a mission to address mental health issues, Divine recognizes she must now leave home to pursue her own education so she can better serve her community.

Supportive Pillar Organization was founded by Divine Mugisha, the protagonist of A Divine Journey documentary short. Supportive Pillar Organisation (SPO) is a non-profit organization that aims to increase the accessibility to formal education among young people from rural areas in Malawi and Dzaleka refugee camp for future economic empowerment.
Their mission is to educate young people in order to change their living conditions through economic empowerment by increasing their accessibility to education and decreasing the school dropout rate through the provision of physical, emotional, and financial support to cover their needs that they do not have access to otherwise.
